A Maine Birder Passes Away

Maine has a lot of "birders" - folks who watch for birds, record the sightings, and keep lists of the different species they have seen.  One of Maine's more famous birders recently passed away - just shy of his 100th birthday.  George Sharp, a Portland, Maine bird enthusiast died recently.  Read more about his life in "A class act whose passion took wing", Portland Press Herald, April 25, 2010.
