Pumpkin Carving - A Witchy Night in Pownal, Maine

A favorite activity prior to Halloween here in Maine is pumpkin carving.  There are contests at the many fairs and festivals.  In addition you will find that family or friends get together to carve pumpkins for enjoyment.  The picture below is of a pumpkin carved recently in Pownal, Maine.  The picture was taken at night and the light is from a candle inside the pumpkin that was carved as a witch.
