Maine's 100-Mile Wilderness Trail

Maine has a 100-mile wilderness trail that runs from Monson to Mount Katahdin.  A large number of land conservation agencies and organizations are working hard to maintain this wilderness and even to expand it.  Read more in "100-Mile Wilderness keeps getting better", Portland Press Herald, June 12, 2010.  Maine has a number of hiking trails throughout the state; but this trail is in one of the more rural areas.
