Great Wass Island Preserve in Beals, Maine - A Nice Seashore Hike

For those of you interested in hiking along the seacoast of Maine - you might consider the Great Wass Island Preserve in Beals, Maine.  As the name indicates it is an island and it is located just south of Jonesport, Maine.  There is a land bridge that will take you to it.  (Google the name and you will see exactly where it is or click here to view a Google map).  A blogger (Cedarholm Garden Bay Inn) has posted an online article about his hike there and has 14 pictures on the post - see the blog post by clicking here.  The Nature Conservancy also provides information on Great Wass Island.  The preserve is almost 1,600 acres big.  Click here to learn more about hiking in Maine.
