Downeast Sunrise Trail Opens in Maine

"The Downeast Sunrise Trail has been about 20 years in the making. "A group of bicycling friends kept looking at the railroad and knew that in 1986 the state had purchased the railroad and that there were no more trains on it," says Sally Jacobs, who founded the Downeast Sunrise Trail Coalition."
