Land Acquisitions Preserves Maine Land as Wilderness
Two large parcels of Maine land have been acquired by the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Nature Conservancy. Maine now has 16% of its land in preservation plots; much higher than the national average. Read more in "Land Acquisitions a Landmark Achievement", MPBN, November 9, 2009.
