Investing in Maine's Hiking Trails

An avid hiker of Maine has wrote an online article entitled "Why Invest in Maine's Trails?", The Exception Magazine, May 5, 2009. He advances the notion that we should invest money, time and effort in building and maintaining hiking trails in Maine. The reasons for doing this include the benefits of health (we get healthier if we get out and exercise), economics (more hiking trails means more tourism dollars), and pride in having good walking trails in our state. The American Hiking Society is one organization that advances the causes of hiking trails. Click here to learn more about hiking trails in Maine.
