Aroostook State Park and "Take It Outside"

The "Take It Outside" program held one of its events at the Aroostock State Park in Maine this past weekend. Organized events included sledding, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and skiing. The "Take It Outside" initiative was launched by Maine Gov. John Baldacci in August 2007 to encourage children to spend more time outdoors. Government agencies and other organizations have joined together to stage both summer and winter events throughout the state to get people to enjoy the outdoors.
