Woman's Outdoor Workshop in Caribou, Maine Sep 18-20, 2009

"Becoming an Outdoors-Woman" (BOW) is sponsored by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. The program is aimed primarily at women 18 years and older who are interested in learning or improving their skills in hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation in a safe and comfortable environment. Some of the topics covered in the camp include ATVs, forest ecology, firearms and range safety, archery, canoeing, self-defense, talking turkey, outdoor skills, survival, GPS, geocaching, campfire cuisine, kayaking, fly casting, map & compass, skeet shooting, first aid, bow hunting and bird watching.
