Strawberry Island, Maine
Volunteers working with the Maine Island Trail Association (MITA) helped return a small island to a wilderness state. Strawberry Island is a small coastal property owned by the state located in Muscongus Bay, near Waldoboro, Maine. In the past an old cabin from the island was removed. Recently the cement foundation pilings and the old floor were removed and grass seed was planted. This is just more good work performed by the Maine Island Trail Association.
